Personal Life Insights is a content and entertainment platform operated by Set Yuth, based in Cambodia. Our services include:

personallifeinsights.com — a website providing entertainment content, articles, and information, supported by Google AdSense advertising.
ShowAroo (com.personallifeinsights.showaroo) — a free Android and iOS mobile app for discovering movies and TV shows, supported by Google AdMob advertising.

📱 In the ShowAroo App

ShowAroo does not collect or store personal information on its own servers. If you sign in with Google, the following is accessed and stored locally on your device only:

Your display name and profile photo URL
Your email address (for account identification only)

If you sign in with TMDB, your session token is stored in your device's secure encrypted storage only. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) to serve ads within the app.

ShowAroo uses Google AdMob to display advertisements within the app. AdMob helps keep the app free for all users.

AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID to serve relevant ads
Ad data is governed by Google's Advertising Privacy Policy
You can opt out of personalised ads via your device Settings → Privacy → Ads (Android) or Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising (iOS)
On Android 13+, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID entirely

Ad revenue from AdMob is what allows ShowAroo to remain completely free. We appreciate your support.

Data Storage

Website: Non-personal analytics and ad data are processed by Google's infrastructure in accordance with Google's own data policies.

ShowAroo App: All user preferences, watchlist data, and profile information are stored exclusively on your device. ShowAroo has no backend servers that store user data. Authentication tokens are kept in your device's encrypted secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Secure Enclave) and are never transmitted to ShowAroo.

We use the following third-party services across our platforms:

Google AdSense (website) — web advertising. Google Privacy Policy
Google AdMob (app) — in-app advertising. Google Ads Policy
Google Sign-In (app) — optional authentication. Google Privacy Policy

TMDB (app) — movie and TV metadata, posters, and optional sign-in. No personal data is shared.
Third-party streaming sources (app) — accessed via embedded web view. ShowAroo does not host or control these sources.

We take reasonable steps to protect information across both platforms. Our website is served over HTTPS. ShowAroo app authentication tokens are stored using device-level encrypted secure storage and are never transmitted over unencrypted connections.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a screen lock.

Children's Privacy

Neither personallifeinsights.com nor ShowAroo is intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided information through either platform, please contact us and we will promptly take steps to remove it.

Your Rights

Opt out of website ads — via Google Ads Settings or your browser's cookie settings
Opt out of app ads — via device Settings → Privacy → Ads
Delete app data — uninstalling ShowAroo removes all locally stored data
Sign out of ShowAroo — clears your session and cached profile information
Revoke Google access — via Google Account Permissions
